Practical Parenting Support When You Need It

Parenting questions do not always come up during convenient hours. Your child may become overwhelmed before school, struggle with homework after a long day, or feel anxious at bedtime. In those moments, it helps to have reliable information and practical strategies within reach.

The CCD Family Support Hub gives parents and caregivers access to therapist-informed resources covering many of the challenges families face — from the toddler years through adolescence.

At a glance

  • Open to any parent, anywhere — no CCD membership or Delaware address required
  • Free to create an account, with more available through membership
  • Toddlers through teens
  • English and Spanish resources
  • Educational support — not therapy or a replacement for care

What Is the CCD Family Support Hub?

The CCD Family Support Hub is an online collection of parenting guides, courses, and interactive tools created by the Center for Child Development.

The resources are designed to help parents better understand their children's emotions, behavior, and development. Instead of sorting through conflicting information online, families can find straightforward guidance organized around specific parenting concerns.

What's inside the CCD Family Support Hub: guides and courses, private tracking tools, an AI resource finder, and a crisis and safety center.
Please note: The CCD Family Support Hub is educational. It does not replace therapy, medical care, or emergency services. It can, however, help parents learn new strategies, prepare for conversations with a provider, and make more informed decisions about their child's needs.

Parenting Topics Covered

Families can explore resources related to:

  • Tantrums and emotional outbursts
  • Anxiety in children and teens
  • ADHD at home
  • Autism and neurodiversity
  • Sibling conflict
  • Bullying and peer pressure
  • Gentle and responsive parenting
  • Toddler behavior
  • Parenting teenagers
  • Separation and divorce
  • Child and adolescent brain development
  • Parents' stress and emotional well-being

Available in English and Spanish

New resources are added regularly. Several parenting guides, behavioral trackers, and introductory courses are available in both English and Spanish to support bilingual families. Look for the "Disponible en Español" label or select the Spanish filter in the resource library.

Courses and Parenting Guides

The Hub includes interactive guides, masterclasses, and courses you can complete at your own pace. Available programs include the 10-module Raising Children on the Spectrum course, the Mom Mental Load series, and the Strong Family skills course.

Each resource focuses on practical information you can apply at home. Explore a topic when a concern first appears, return to it for a reminder, or use it alongside support from your child's therapist or healthcare provider.

Tools to Help You Recognize Patterns

The Hub also includes private tools for tracking moods, behaviors, and family goals — so you can notice patterns that are otherwise hard to see.

For example, tracking when a behavior happens may reveal connections to sleep, school demands, schedule changes, or stressful situations. You can use what you learn to guide conversations with your child's therapist, teacher, or healthcare provider. A private journal is also available for recording concerns, questions, and observations.

Find the Right Resource More Quickly

Not sure where to begin? The AI Resource Finder connects you with relevant information in seconds. Enter the issue you are facing, and the tool recommends related resources.

The Resource Finder provides educational guidance only. It does not diagnose conditions, offer therapy, or replace professional care.

Crisis and Safety Resources

The Crisis and Safety Center provides crisis contact information and a private family safety-planning tool.

In an emergency: If you believe your child or another person is in immediate danger, call 911 or contact an appropriate crisis service. The Hub is not a substitute for emergency assistance.

Who Can Use the CCD Family Support Hub?

It's designed for parents and caregivers of children from toddlerhood through adolescence. It may be especially helpful if:

  • You want practical strategies for a parenting concern
  • Your child is waiting to begin services
  • You want to learn more about your child's diagnosis
  • You need help preparing for an appointment
  • You want reliable information without searching multiple websites
  • You'd like extra support between therapy appointments

Your child does not need a diagnosis, and your family does not need to receive services from the Center for Child Development to use the Hub.
